The separation of web applications into frontend and backend, together with browser-based applications and distributed services, changed the structure of web applications.
Seanox aspect-js is based on concepts such as declarative views, expression languages, component structures and the connection between Views and Application Modules (modules). These concepts, also present in technologies such as JavaServer Faces (JSF), are implemented as part of its programming model using native browser technologies.
Another influence was the application of concepts from microservice architectures to micro-frontends architectures. This includes structuring frontend applications into independent software modules that can be composed at runtime.
The project provides mechanisms for declarative application structures, reactive rendering, modular resources and application composition using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
